On
Thursday September 7, 2006 José Martí Middle School held its Open House.

Mr. Giancarlo Luna joined José Martí Middle School as our Principal For A Day. On October 10, 2006 Mr. Luna toured our school with Mr. Enriquez and got a chance to learn about the duties and responsibilities of a school principal.
José Martí Middle School is now an A school! On Wednesday, October 11, 2006 José Martí Middle School hosted several important guests including Hialeah Mayor Julio Robaina as well as several Hialeah Councilmen for the school recognition ceremony.
On Monday, December 11, 2006 Hialeah Mayor Julio Robaina visited José Martí Middle School. The mayor spoke to parents and faculty during the PTSA meeting and was recognized for his service to our school.
On Tuesday, January 23, 2007 Ms. Osborne, our Teacher of the Year, joined other Teachers of the Year from schools around Miami-Dade County for breakfast at the Rusty Pelican. The Teachers of the Year were recognized for their excellence. Also in attendance from JMMS were Mr. Enriquez, Ms. Lewis, Ms. Andrews and Mr. Field.
On January 25, 2007 Jose Marti Middle School held its annual Curriculum Fair. Current and future students, and their parents, were invited to find out more about what our school has to offer.
On March 14, 2007 Jose Marti Middle School was awarded a Platinum School Recognition Award for the 2005-2006 school year.
On Wednesday March 21, 2007 Jose Marti Middle School held its annual Career Morning. Our Silver Knights were treated to a variety of speakers and learned about career choices and opportunities in their future.
